The word "Matsumi" is from Japanese, and it is translated into Chinese by its sound. "Matsu" means pine and "mi" means beauty.
At the beginning of planning, the founder is attracted by the leafy, evergreen and beautiful pine in Meiji-jingu, Tokyo. The pine (matsu in Japanese) stands for flourishing and evergreen in business, and symbolizes both the promising development and the continuous business. The Matsumi doll is born from Shibuya of Tokyo, Japan.Her birthday is on October fifth.
Growing up in this fashionable and popular place- Shibuya, the Matsumi doll shows up the sweet and elegant style of clothing. She is interested in shopping, fashion design and traveling. That is also the inspiration of her celebrated design.
She studied abroad to London, England in winter, 2006 and is addicted to the elegant and classic style of England, and is in love with British Plaid. Therefore, we start to design a lot of classic British Plaid and College style products to tell the beauty of British style. In fact, we only design the lateral side of the Matsumi doll showing on clothes. In 2001, the founder bumped to seeing the porcelain doll, which is familiar with Matsumi doll, thus initiating the thinking of making the real shape of Matsumi doll.
After 6 years of constantly revised development and re-design the doll, we always adhere to the idea of achieving this goal. Because of our highly standard of satisfaction with excellence, we successfully made the real Matsumi doll in 2007 at last!
